Sony, the king of the visual and sound industry, introduced a new version of their headphones, the WH-1000XM6, the best noise cancellation headphones in the history of Sony. This new Sony headphone is coming with an advanced processor and adaptive microphone system, offering premium sound and the best noise cancellation.
To give a quick recap, Sony introduced the foldable metal hinge with the XM6, making the headphones more travel-friendly compared to the XM5. The headband has also been redesigned with vegan leather padding, promising a pressure-free fit and easier left-right identification.
In terms of audio and effects, the new Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones come with a QN3 processor and an in-mic array that improves both ANC and Ambient sound. These features not only help cancel noise but also maintain good sound quality, improve calling, and provide a better wearable design.
Sony claims that this is the newest headphone using AI-trained models to offer more natural sound variations and a real-time experience. Sony also improved the Auto Ambient Sound mode, which allows the headphones to listen to things like announcements and conversations around us.

- Hands-free controls: Unlike the XM5, users can now toggle between modes and activate voice commands without pressing buttons.
- Scene-based Listening: A new feature that automatically adjusts noise cancellation and playback depending on your activity.
- Codec support: Includes SBC, AAC, LDAC, and LC3, though aptX and Snapdragon Sound are still missing.
