Gmail Is Adding a New Tab for All Your Amazon Purchases

Tracking your online shopping orders inside Gmail is about to get easier. Google is rolling out a new Purchases tab on both mobile and web that gathers all your order-related emails in one place.

When you open the tab, you’ll see only emails tied to your purchases—such as order confirmations, shipping updates, and delivery estimates.

Smarter Order Tracking in Gmail

This new Purchases tab builds on Gmail’s existing package-tracking features. Currently, Gmail highlights shipments expected to arrive within the next 24 hours at the top of your inbox and places tracking cards at the top of order confirmation emails. With the Purchases tab, these updates will now live in a dedicated, clutter-free space.

Updates to Promotions: Deals and Smarter Sorting

Alongside the Purchases tab, Gmail is also refreshing its Promotions category. Soon, it will begin flagging time-sensitive deals and rolling out a new sorting option that surfaces the “most relevant” emails—based on the brands you interact with most often.

If you’d rather keep things simple, you can always switch back to viewing promotions in the standard “most recent” order.

Rollout Timeline

Google says these updates will arrive in the coming weeks, starting on mobile for users with personal Gmail accounts.
