Mark Zuckerberg Looking at neighbours house. Tech news English Tech Rumors

“Mark Zuckerberg is disturbing our peace,” said his neighbors.

Mark Zuckerberg bought five properties from his neighbours for millions of dollars and turned them into a single compound with a 7,000 sq ft underground hidden place.

Palo Alto, a city located in Silicon Valley, is famous for its high cost of living, educated members, and as the birthplace of many tech companies. The people who live here aren’t random; they are high-end doctors, lawyers, Stanford professors, business leaders, and actors. In simple words, it’s a place for the rich who want peace, happiness, and valuable connections. They feel safe, secure, and happy there. They can laugh loudly, walk freely, kids can ride bicycles on the streets anytime, people can gather, host night parties, and enjoy life — in short, it was like heaven.

But everything has changed. Now, residents are leaving because of one “naughty” billionaire kid — Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Meta Platforms. People in Palo Alto say he is disturbing their peace, destroying their natural lifestyle, and taking away their freedom and happiness by turning the area into a prison-like maze with huge walls.

According to a New York Times report, many residents say they have lost their peace of mind ever since Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg moved to the neighbourhood with his girlfriend, Priscilla Chan. In the last 14 years, since Zuckerberg settled there, longtime residents claim they have struggled to sleep because of the constant noise from the construction work at his home.

Who are his neighbours?

The outlet reports that his neighbours are a different pool of professionals. They include lawyers, business executives, and Stanford professors.

They claimed that one family after another had left the area since Zuckerberg had purchased and expanded his property. A neighbour who has been in the area for over 20 years told the outlet, “We tried to bring him into the fold.” The individual added, “It’s been rebuffed every time.”

Mark Zuckerberg’s Expanding Hobby

Reports say that Mark Zuckerberg has been buying up properties near his house for millions of dollars—offers the residents simply couldn’t refuse—and adding them to his high-walled, maze-like compound with a main house where Zuckerberg stays with his wife, Priscilla Chan, and their three daughters.

The compound reportedly also has gardens, a pickleball court, guest homes and a pool equipped with a hydrofloor.

Is Mark the real Batman?

As we’ve seen in the Batman films, the billionaire hero has a secret bat cave to plan his moves, work in the dark, and build something big. Similarly, Mark Zuckerberg reportedly has an underground cave inside his compound, spanning nearly 7,000 square feet. Reportedly, this construction took eight years to finish, which caused a lot of noise issues for the neighbours.

Why Are the Neighbours Angry at Mark Zuckerberg?

It’s not because they are jealous of his money. The neighbours are angry at Mark Zuckerberg because they feel he is destroying their peace of mind and happy culture. People say they can no longer walk freely on the streets due to the heavy security. They can’t sleep properly because of the constant construction noise. They feel their privacy is gone, with cameras allegedly pointed toward their homes.

In simple terms, the billionaire kid is taking over the neighbourhood with money—at the cost of everyone else’s comfort.
